I think this pictures show an excellent example of balance because it is very symmetric. Even though the props to the sides of the bowl of fruit are not the same they are about the same height and shape. Also all of the items are the same color which adds that symmetry and balance. I liked this picture for balance because if you were to fold the picture in half everything on each side would be perfectly balanced and equal.

I choose this image for contrast because your focus is automatically draw right to the center of the photo on the branch that is in focus. Also, it is the most colorful part of the photograph. The rest of the picture is the green of the grass and other plants, but the main part that is in focus is purple with the yellow in the pelts that haven't bloomed yet. You can also see the lighter colors, darker colors, and everything in between.

This picture is definitely my favorite because I am immediately drawn to the rose in the center. I think having the picture in black and white and then having the rose be in color added emphasis to the picture and makes in more interesting to look at. If the picture was completely black and white or completely in color I don't think it would be as appealing to someone looking at it. Also, having the rose directly in the middle of the photo causes that element of emphasis too. If the rose was off centered I don't believe it would add the same amount of emphasis it currently has.

In this photograph the movement of the water looks very interesting because the child's leg is still and in focus but the water the child is splashing is moving. I think it adds a certain appeal to the photograph that would be very hard to capture. Movement is all about the motion of a picture and this photo definitely has that movement.

I choose this photograph for pattern because the squares on the walls have a type of random pattern to them that makes the picture more interesting to look at. I like that the squares are not all the same size. I think by doing this and having the picture taken at this angle leads your eyes across the photo and makes you notice every element of the photo.
RHYTHM

This picture is a good example of rhythm because rhythm in a photo describes where part of an image helps you move around in an image. In this picture the lines lead your eye across the image perfectly. Also the different sizes of lines and colors help further guide you through the picture. I liked this picture because it is very simple but still manages to keep me interested.
UNITY

This picture is my favorite out of all of the pictures. Not only are they adorable, they also exemplify 'unity' extremely well. Twins are united from the minute they are conceived but beyond that they are together their whole lives. Unity is also in the picture because the two boys are playing together and mot caring about the world. Also they are in matching clothes and having the picture in black and white adds to the photo. Most of all, they are unity literally and figuratively.
